In a bid to boost regional agricultural yields, China is embarking on a program to revolutionise farms in the Phillipines.
June 30th 2050
China has announced it will donate more drone technology to farmers in the Philipines as part of their regional aid budget.
The specialised drones help in planting, maintaining and harvesting etc. Negating terrain challenges and opening up new opportunities for agriculture. However, the rise in technology has led to a rise in inequality and there is a dire need for upskilling of regional workers in drone operation, drone maintenance, coding, data management, etc. The technology is available to lift people out of poverty, but the skills and technology are not evenly distributed.
